3 TIPS WHEN PHOTOGRAPHING MODELS OUTDOORS
We asked our friend, fashion and advertising photographer Darren Paul, for some top tips on how to achieve better shots when working with models outdoors.
If you are new to photographing models outdoors here are some aspects to consider.
Tip 1. Location is important. Make sure it fits the brief and that it adds strength and ambience. Your location needs to be secure and one that doesn’t attract too much public attention to distract or worry your models.
Tip 2. Lighting is always going to be key. Learn to work with reflectors, diffusers and flash.
Tip 3. Only work with a talented team. Everyone has a role, from the makeup artist to the stylist, the art director and the assistant(s). A well thought out team equals great energy and great shots.
